Rotation problems: One of the biggest complaints we receive with our RIP software is unexpected rotation and cropping of images. This is normally not due to any settings in the RIP or application. Typically this problem stems from using print drivers that have poor support for custom page sizes. Both Microsoft and Apple print drivers have difficulties with custom page sizes. To correct these problems we recommend using Adobe's PS printer drivers: Mac PC or the Apple Laserwriter 8.3.4 driver with the correct PPD (Postscript Printer Description) file with Mac OS 9 and below. If you have recently upgraded to Apple's 10.3 (Panther) version of OS X, you should configure Print Center using the following PPD. It corrects issues with images not appearing in the Active Queue of the RIP. Older PPDs: Corrupt Disk Problems: For users of Photoscript 1.2.0 who have experienced a corrupt Disk 1 floppy: PhotoDisk1.sit Upgrade: This is the latest version of Photoscript available for OYO imagesetters. It has fixes for several bugs as well as provides an integrated configuration utility. Please consult the included read me files before upgrading from Photoscript 1.2.0.
