The GS624-2, GS636-2, and GS644-2 Second Generation of Thermal Plotters feature a new controller that stores previous data history and automatically adjusts the printhead energy levels (Hysteresis Control).  This feature improves the plot contrast and doubles the life expectancy of the print head.  These plotters can be controlled remotely or from the plotter keypad, with the plotting parameters displayed on a VF (vacuum fluorescent) panel.

A unique single-substrate 400 dpi direct thermal printhead eliminates the line gaps and inconsistent densities associated with multi-head plotters.  The direct thermal, dry plotting process assures crisp, high clarity plots with no smearing or flaring, regardless of ambient temperature or humidity.

These plotters are designed for heavy-duty, unattended, continuous operation when plotting on roll or fan-fold paper and on roll film.  They have built-in diagnostics, safety interlocks, automatic media cutter, and a selectable cooling fan for quiet operations.  Plotters are available with Automatic Media Take-up, Fan-Fold, and Plotter Stand.  Maintenance is limited to the cleaning of the printhead and platen to remove the media residue accumulated during plotting.
