The 600 x 1200 Direct Thermal Film Plotters were designed for use with a chemistry-free, dry film developed specifically for OYO.  These give plots with print resolution, dot clarity, and film densities that equal or exceed specifications of most existing photographic film plotters.  OYO's low maintenance thermal film plotters with the new proprietary ThermoImpression® XP dry film provide users a replacement for the wet process environmentally hazardous laser-dot film technology, without film processors, chemicals, and darkrooms.

These Thermal Film Plotters have a 600 dpi single-substrate printhead that eliminates the line gaps and inconsistent densities associated with multi-head plotters.  They feature an advanced controller that stores previous data history and automatically adjusts the print head energy levels (hysteresis control).  This improves plot contrasts and extends the life expectancy of the thermal printhead.  The plotters are interfaced to existing rasterizer via a Versatec Parallel Interface (VPI).  They can be controlled remotely or from the plotter keypad.

All OYO thermal plotters give consistent and flawless performance, even in continuous and unattended operations.  They come with an automatic media cutter, built-in diagnostics, and safety interlocks.  Applications include Seismic Sections, Time Slice, NAV/GPS, Well Logs, or other selected data.
